It’s Fleet Week in Halifax, and the HMCS Athabasca is one of the enormous Navy ships docked along the waterfront.

I had the pleasure of being the stills photographer for the day during a shoot for Cubicle to the Cage, an upcoming TV documentary about regular people training to become MMA fighters.

I spent the day at Palooka’s Boxing Club, taking shots of people in complete agony, as they completed a cardio workout, punching session, and grappling session.

I’ll be posting a few more from this session in the next little while.

Ian and I headed up Citadel Hill one night and took some long exposure shots. This was a 10-second exposure and halfway through, a car passed by. I thought it would ruin the shot, but it turned out it made it better!

I’ve driven past this house in Wolfville several times, but never stopped to take a photo. This time, I wasn’t in a rush to get anywhere, and the clouds and sun were great. The grass was also unusually green for April.

I took several shots, and I’m having a hard time deciding which ones I like best, so this house may make another appearance on here.
