Another shot of some of the snacks Amber had out for New Year’s Eve. I love cheese, but I’m fairly simplistic when it comes to ze fromage. For instance, I despise blue cheese, and any “stinky” cheese basically. I do love me some cheddar, swiss, mozza, and asiago though…

I spotted this rock along the Halifax waterfront during a lovely walk one night last summer. Someone had taken great care to draw a little sailboat on it. There is also a rather cute smiley face on the right. This is a quick iPhone snap with Camera+.

The expected xmas ornament shot. In this one, you can really see a lot of the room. Makes me want a fisheye lens!

I took this shot a while ago while we were visiting Amber’s Grandmother Bea at her nursing home in Bridgetown. Her room has lots of photos and trinkets that I’m sure can spur a thousand memories.

The light from her window hit her dresser in such a dramatic way that day, and I couldn’t help but take a photo and try to capture just a few of those memory-inducing decorations.

We finally got around to playing some music again – it’s becoming a yearly event, and mostly in winter. Our band name will have to reflect that, except “Wintersleep” is already taken. We’re sort of like Heavy Meadows who, at one point, would only record while the moon was in certain phases.
